Sharon R. Dailey, 64, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

Sharon enjoyed playing Yahtzee, going to the casino and most of all loved spending time with her family.

She was born on June 2, 1954 in Pewee Valley, Kentucky to Evans Carey and Emma Bailey Carey. She is preceded in death by her parents, Emma Lee Carey and Evans Tinsley Carey; sister, Susan Elaine Carey; brothers, Robert Evans Carey, Richard Henry Carey, Kenneth Wayne Carey and William "Bill" Carey.

Sharon is survived by her loving companion, Marc Cook; children, Rich Waldridge (Samantha), Pat Spalding, Bob Waldridge (Angela), Ashley Boone (Anthony) and Sam Spalding; eight grandchildren, and one on the way; and three great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul Carey (Kathy), Glenn Carey (Paula) and Ralph Carey.

Visitation will be from 2 pm to 8 pm on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243). A service to honor the life of Sharon will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Middletown Historical Cemetery.

The family requests that contributions in Sharon's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
