Sharon Coleman

August 28, 1949 — February 12, 2015

Sharon Coleman, 65, of Shepherdsville, KY passed away on February 12, 2015. Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a fan of NASCAR, and a devoted fan of Jeff Gordon. Sharon collected eagles and loved the color purple.

Sharon was born in McQuady, KY on August 28, 1949, the daughter of Jack and Dorothy (Morris) Weatherford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Wilson.

Survivors include her husband Rusty Coleman; children, James DeKnikker, Harold DeKnikker, Jackie DeKnikker, and Cindy DeKnikker; brother, Billy Weatherford; sister, Patty Daley, Bonnie Hood, Donna Holman, Joyce Davis, Sandy Tabor, Andrea Weatherford, Brenda Lorenz; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy) with a celebration of Sharon's life beginning at 2:00 pm.
