Sharon Lee Carr - Smith

February 19, 1955 — February 12, 2026

Listen to Obituary

Sharon was born in Louisville, KY to John and Iona Carr on February 19, 1955. Sharon was the widow of Raymond Smith who went home to be with our Lord and Savior on December 28, 2025. They were married for 27 years. Along with her parents and husband, Sharon is preceded in death by her sister in-law, Nellie Judd. Sharon was one of six children; sisters, Deborah (Kenneth) Holland and Sheila (Sean) Maloney, and her brothers, Stevan Carr, Jeffrey (Victoria) Judd and Michael Judd.

She was an entrepreneur. Sharon started her own grooming business in her early 20's; obtained her license as an esthetician, started a successful cleaning business and consignment boutique. She travelled the world with Ray working in Asset Recovery and for the last 35 years she has resided in Pompano Beach at the "Christopher House". It feels like she is leaving with a piece of our hearts but because we are believers we know " This isn't the end; it's just a new beginning".

A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 7th. The family will receive guests on Saturday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, all taking place at Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Hwy).
