Sharold Atcher

Sharold Atcher, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on August 1, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on October 30, 1950, Sharold was known throughout her community as a woman of steadfast character, deep loyalty, and enduring love for her family.

Sharold dedicated an incredible 37 years to her work as a loyal employee at Rodes Clothing. Her long tenure is a testament not only to her professionalism but also to her reliability and commitment—qualities she carried through every aspect of her life.

Beyond her impressive career, Sharold shared a life of adventure and togetherness with her husband, Harold Atcher. Together, they found great joy in riding motorcycles and going camping, embracing both the freedom of the open road and the quiet beauty of nature. These cherished pastimes were more than hobbies; they were expressions of Sharold’s zest for life and her desire to make unforgettable memories with those she loved.

Sharold’s devotion to her family was at the center of everything she did. She is survived by her loving husband, Harold Atcher, her son Thomas Atcher (Pamela), and numerous grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward her legacy of warmth and kindness. Sharold was preceded in death by her son Harold Atcher II, as well as her parents, Joyce Rather and Donald Rather.

Family and friends are invited to honor Sharold’s memory at a visitation, which will be held on August 13, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272.

Sharold’s presence touched many lives, and her absence will be deeply felt. She will be remembered always for her loyal heart, her spirit of adventure, and the devoted love she shared with her family.
