Shannon Marie Long

Shannon Marie Long, 54, of Corydon, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024. She had a big heart and loved her family deeply. Shannon was often times outspoken, with the natural ability to break the ice and start up a conversation. She was an avid writer and enjoyed journaling daily.

She was born on June 11, 1969 in Louisville, Kentucky. Shannon was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley (Blandford) Long.

Shannon is survived by her children, Kaitlin Baker, Kaleb Swiczkowski; father, Gene Long; siblings, James Long, Jennifer Long, Emily Florence (Jeremy), Lara Hurt, Paul Long, Nancy Long; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with a celebration of her life taking place at 6:00 p.m. Cremation will follow according to Shannon's wishes.
