Shannon Ellingsworth

Shannon Ellingsworth, age 63 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed on Wednesday April 28th, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents Leon Ellingsworth and Emma Nation Negrich; and his stepfather, James Negrich. He graduated in 1975 from Jeffersontown High School and was an Army Veteran. Shannon loved gardening, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

Shannon is survived by his sisters, Melissa Negrich Ford (Scott), Julie Washburn (Garry) and Karyn Sawyer; his ex-wife, Gayle Ellingsworth; stepson, Michael Blair (Tanya); 4 grandchildren, Nicole Jarboe (Eric), Alexis Blair, Kailey Wells and Liam Blair; and 2 great-grandchildren; 4 nephews, Parker, Hunter, Colin and Jackson Ford; 4 nieces, Taylor Southers (James), Lauren, Emma and Sarah Ford; along with many cousins and his friend, Joanie Howard; and a host of family and friends.

Cremation was chosen following Shannon's wishes.

A memorial will be planned in the fall with date and time to be determined.
