Scott Anthony Lehman

Scott Anthony Lehman, 63, passed away on September 2, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on March 4, 1963, Scott was a graduate of New Albany High School, where he developed his love of football. He continued his education at Georgetown College, where he proudly played for the Hilltoppers football team.

Following college, Scott proudly served his country in the United States Navy Seabees, serving for six years. He was proud of his time in the Seabees and the opportunity to serve his country.

Scott was a man with an outgoing personality, a generous spirit, and a good and loving heart. He had a way of making people feel welcome and enjoyed the friendships and relationships he built throughout his life. Those who knew Scott will remember his sense of humor, his personality, and the warmth he brought to the people around him.

Scott was the proud father of Todd, who was an important part of his life. He was also a loving grandfather to Maddix James Lehman and Lillian Sue Lehman, who brought great happiness to his life.

He is survived by his sister, Linda Lehman Lyninger; his brothers, Charles Lehman Jr. (Joy), Jeffrey Lehman (Rose), and Robert Lehman; his son, Todd; his grandchildren, Maddix James Lehman and Lillian Sue Lehman; and his many beloved nieces and nephews.

Although Scott’s life was cut short by cancer, the love, friendship, and memories he gave to those around him will remain. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, former teammates, fellow Seabees, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Scott will always be loved, remembered, and cherished.

Visitation will be from 4:00PM-6:00PM on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 with the Celebration of Life at 6:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).
