Sarah Elizabeth(Burgess) Fields

Sarah Elizabeth Burgess Fields, 58, of New Albany, IN was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 2, 2016. She was born in Evansville, IN on August 4, 1958 to the late Joseph and Margaret Burgess. She was married nearly 39 years to J. Dishmond Fields and took great pride in her children and grandchildren. Sarah enjoyed volunteering many years in the NAFC Schools and over 30 years at her church. She loved talking about Jesus to those she met. She also enjoyed watching her Kentucky Wildcats play!
Along with her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her brother, John Thomas Burgess and a sister, Thelma Jo Bye.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 39 years, J. Dishmond Fields; children, Courtnie (Roy) Cunningham, Mallorie (Keith) Mugler and Dishmond (Ashley) Fields; grandchildren Rylee, Laynie and Conlee Cunningham and Mollie and Maggie Mugler. Along with a sister, Charlotte (Paul) Grieselhuber.

Visitation will be Friday, September 9, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150) from 10 am to 8 pm. Her service will be on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 11 am with visitation before from 9 am to 11 am at Newcomer Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Kraft Graceland Cemetery in New Albany, IN.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to either Charlestown Road Southern Baptist Church or Choices for Women Resource Center in New Albany, in Sarah's name.
