Sandra Lee Smith, 65, of Shelbyville, KY, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019.
Sandra enjoyed playing bingo and most of all spending time with her family and friends. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mama, mamaw, sister, aunt and friend.
She was born on April 6, 1953 in Louisville, Kentucky to Marvin and Mary Brinley. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Alice Brinley and Marvin Hughes Brinley; and her son, Marty Carey and brother, Bobby Brinley.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Billie Smith, children, Laura Colyer (David), Kenneth Carey (Jeannie), Cindy Pearcy (Alan), Billie Smith, Jr. (Kim) and Jeffery Smith; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Nickell (Conrad), Faye McGraw (Lee), Ray Brinley (Lynn), Jerry Brinley (Melony), Georgia Gore (Howard) and Anita Brinley (Joe); and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12 pm to 4 pm on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Louisville Chapel, (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243), with a service to honor the life of Sandra to follow at 4 pm at the funeral home.
The family requests that contributions in Sandra's memory be made to The American Diabetes Association.
