Sandra Faye Sherley

Sandra Faye (Logsdon) Sherley, was born on September 23, 1959, in Louisville, Kentucky, and sadly departed this world on August 26, 2025. Throughout her life, Sandra was known as a caregiver at heart, always putting the needs of those around her before her own. Her selflessness and nurturing spirit defined her character and endeared her to all who knew her.

Sandra's love for animals was profound; she cherished her pets and found joy in their companionship. She also enjoyed visiting the zoo with her family, where she could immerse herself in the beauty of nature and wildlife. Fishing was another pastime that brought her peace and happiness, allowing her to connect with nature in a personal and fulfilling way.

Sandra is survived by her son, Curtis Sherley, and Corey Griffo, who was like a son to her. She took immense pride in her family, including her three grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who brought her joy and light. She is also survived by her siblings, Margaret Rich, Vickie (Jeff) Perry, Karen Stewart, and Ricky (Angie) Logsdon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jackie Logsdon Sr. and Martha Myers Logsdon, as well as her sons, Steven Birtwell and Donnie Sherley; her partner, James "Robbie" Griffo, who she shared over 25 years of precious memories together. She also mourned the loss of her siblings, Jackie Logsdon Jr., Frank Logsdon, and Rebecca Tompkins.
