Sandra Kay McFarland, 70, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022.
She was born on August 7, 1951, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Jesse McCain, Sr., and Ruth (Stephens) McCain. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Wayne McFarland; and brother, Jesse F. McCain, Jr.
Sandi is survived by her siblings, Linda Ashwood, Donna Sturgeon, Patricia (Gene) Swinney, Jacquline Lynn (Robert) Manley, Mary Jo (James) Steed, Cindy McCain, David (Cynthia) McCain, and John McCain; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with burial at Friendship Cemetery in New Albany.
Sandi's family would like to extend their gratitude to all the hospice staff at Baptist Health Floyd for their amazing care and to the New Albany Police Department for all of their extra support to Sandi during the loss of her husband Wendell weeks ago.
