Sandra Elaine Marlin

Sandra Elaine Marlin, 71, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Sandy was a part of a very musical family and sang for many years as a member of the Marlinaires. She was a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church in Jeffersonville. Sandy was a loving wife, mother, sister, and Nana, and she will be dearly missed by all of her family.

She was born on November 24, 1949, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Ralph Ferren and Dorothy (Milburn) Powers.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, John "Jack" Marlin; daughter, Angela (Mike) Higdon; son, John (Kim) Marlin; son, Christopher (Katie) Marlin; daughter, Michelle Marlin; brother, Greg (Vickie) Ferren; brother, Don (Elaine) Ferren; 15 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). A Memorial Service will follow at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen following Sandy's wishes.
