Sandra Lou Anderson

Sandra Lou Poteet Anderson, age 70 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015, at The Episcopal Church Home of Louisville. Sandra was born in Paris, Texas August 2, 1945 to Gabriel Jackson "Jack" Poteet and Emma Gene Carter Poteet. She attended Paris High School graduating in 1963 and Paris Junior College. She was retired from Texas Department of Human Resources Tyler, Tx., where she was a resident for 25 years. She attended the Paris Church of God in Paris, Tx. in her youth and attended the First Assembly of God in Tyler, Tx. She was an accomplished artist. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Gerry A. Poteet and Donis P. Poteet, a sister Jean Ann Poteet.

Sandra is survived by her daughter, Melissa Rochelle Anderson Cox and husband Ronnie Cox of Louisville, KY., two grandsons Avery and David Cox; a son, Bryan K. Anderson and wife Trish of Paris; a step-grandson Mark; and step-granddaughter Angie; a sister, Brenda Poteet Crumley and husband Charles Crumley of College Station, Texas; and many cousins, nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

Over the past four years, Sandra required on-going care through Hurstbourne Healthcare Center and The Episcopal Church Home. They provided compassion, tenderness, and companionship that allowed her to enjoy the final years of her life.

The family will receive friends from 11am to 1:00pm, Tuesday, November 3, 2015 with service at 1:00 pm, Rev Doug Holt officiating at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home, 730 Clarksville Street Paris, TX 75460. Graveside service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, TX.
