Sandra Lynn Jacobi

Sandra Lynn Jacobi, 77, passed away on September 18, 2026, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born on May 14, 1949, in Covington, Indiana, and will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, faithful church member, and caring nurse whose life was centered on service to others.

After high school, Sandra continued her education and became a registered nurse. She went on to work as a registered nurse for over 30 years at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Through her long career, she brought compassion, skill, and steady care to the many lives she touched.

Sandra was a proud member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, where she loved volunteering at church events. Her giving spirit also extended into the community through her volunteer work at the Jeffersonville Community Kitchen. She enjoyed playing bridge and going on many trips with her family. Wherever she was, Sandra found joy in being with the people she loved most.

Above all, her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and spending time with them and with her family was the highlight of her life. She shared 56 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Michael Jacobi, and together they built a family that remained at the heart of Sandra’s life. She is also survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Hundley and her husband, Robert; her sons, Christopher Jacobi and his wife, Sara, and Kyle Jacobi and his husband Nicholas Soukas; her grandchildren, Michael Hundley, Corey Hundley, Abigail Jacobi, Andrew Jacobi, Thomas Jacobi, and Anna Jacobi; her sisters, Cathy Phillips and Phyllis Starkey and her husband, Steve, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She leaves behind the love of a close and cherished family, and her memory will continue to live on in the many moments they shared together.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie and Myra Anders; and her brother, Clyde Anders.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150. A Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Cemetery, 3033 Martin Road, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119.

Sandra will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her kindness, her faith, her dedication to her family, and the gentle care she gave throughout her life.
