Sandra (Stollings) Anderson Ragan, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on Sunday, June 7, 2026. Born on September 23, 1938, in Logan, West Virginia, Sandra was the daughter of George and Mae (Carpenter) Stollings.
Throughout her life, Sandra demonstrated an unwavering faith and a profound dedication to both her family and her community. For many years, she was an active and committed member of First Southern Baptist Church in Clarksville, Indiana. There, she enriched the lives of countless individuals by worshiping, serving, and teaching children and adults alike, embodying the essence of spiritual guidance and nurturing fellowship.
Sandra pursued a professional path, devoting her talents to teaching and administration at Graceland Christian School and Christian Academy of Indiana, where her efforts have left a lasting imprint on the institutions and the many students she helped shape.
Her personal life was marked by the blessings of love and companionship. Sandra was united in marriage to two faithful Christian husbands, the late John Anderson and Pastor Bryan Ragan, who shared her commitment to faith and family.
Sandra’s legacy continues through her daughters, Susan Beckley and her husband Gary, and Sharon “Shari” Dalton. She took immense pride in her grandchildren: Julie Atkerson (G.W.), Nathan Beckley (Andrea), Melody Chastain (Christian), Rachel Manias (Evan), Jacob Beckley, Nancy Hollowell (Matt), and Hannah Davis (Chris), and her fourteen great-grandchildren. Sandra also leaves behind her brother, George Stollings, and his wife Racina.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions located at 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, and again on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
