Samuel F. Raizor Sr., 87, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed into eternal life on February 9, 2018.
Sam was born on November 5, 1930 in Highland Park, Louisville, KY. He was raised on a farm near Cecilia, KY where he attended school at Howe Valley. Sam was a graduate of Boyce Bible School. Sam served in the Kentucky National Guard achieving the rank of Sgt.
Sam was preceded in death by his mother and father, George & Mary Alice (Sherrard) Raizor.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl K. Raizor; a son, Samuel F. Raizor Jr. (Mary Jean) of New Albany, IN; a daughter, Karen F. Raizor of Louisville, KY; a granddaughter, Jennifer L. Raizor Wireman (James) of Georgetown, KY; two great grandsons and a great granddaughter; his brothers, Walter A. "Tony" Raizor (Rona) of Cecilia, KY, David H. Raizor (Susan) of Windemere, FL; and his sisters, Jeanne Pugliese of Louisville, KY and Judy Dawson of Cecilia, KY. He is also survived by his stepson, David Broadhead of Louisville, KY and stepdaughter, Jennifer Kelbaugh of Clarksville, IN and four step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sammy's name can be made to the Humane Association of Clark County (2702 Middle Road, Jeffersonville, IN 47130).
