Sallie M. Lewis 79 of Louisville Kentucky was born November 6th in the Bronx NY to the union of her Late Parents Sallie B. Lee and Santos Rodriguez Sallie passed away on Saturday May 16th 2026 peacefully surrounded by family Sallie was Married to the Love of her Life the Late Earnest A. Lewis and to this union was Born their Beautiful Daughter Carmen. Sallie was a Loving Wife and Mother to her Babygirl Carmen who cared for her and Wonderful Sister / Mother who raised her Two Brothers Lawrence Lee Jr an Everett A. Lee. Sallie Graduated in 1964 from Valley High School where she also Sang in the School Choir and Later in life Received her Associate degree in Early Childhood Education from JCC , Sallie was also Employed at Grant's department store, White Castle, GE and was Blessed with the gift of a Home Interior declarator which she Loved, and after 16yrs Retiring from Target. 

Sallie was a Women of God who Confessed at an early age to accept Jesus as her Personal Savior at Meadowlawn Baptist Church where she was involved in the Pastors Choir where she Loved leading her song Going up a Yonder, she also Was a member of Missionary Ministry, Women's Ministry, Golden Saints Ministry. Sallie Loved her Church Family and her Pastor an First Lady William & Ramonda Hodge an she was a Faithful Member up till her health started to decline. In Sallie's free time she Enjoyed sitting outside, planting her flowers, and Loved playing her Bingo and pull tabs , and Loved Watching her University of Louisville Basketball & Football Teams Card Fan for Life and was also a dedicated member of the Family Team Ruff Riders who participated with ACS an most importantly she Loved spending Time with her Family and Friends and her Road Trips with her Daughter Carmen an Brother Lawrence. 

Sallie Loved spending time with her Two Grandchildren Derrick A. Lewis and Gabrielle R. Demeary (Gabby) and her Pride and Joy her Great Granddaughter J'Siah who she called J J and to them she was their Nana whom also helped Care for her along with her Two Brothers and Sister Inlove Vonzell Lee. Sallie is Preceded in death by her Husband Earnest A. Lewis, Mother Sallie B. Lee, Father Santos Rodriguez, Step Father Lawrence Lee Sr whom she Cared for, also Grandmother Bessie B. Ruff. Sallie leaves to Cherish her Memory her Babygirl Carmen R. Lewis Masden, Sons Earnest A. Quint (Brenda) James Quint ( the Late Thelma) Brothers Lawrence Lee Jr (Vonzell) an Everett A. Lee , Sister Inlove Doll Pierce of KC Missouri. Grandchildren Derrick Lewis, Gabrielle Demeary, Charles M. Quint (Diamond), Teeyauka Blodgett, James Hurt, Mical Harrell .Greatgrand Children J'Siah (JJ) Johnson, Emery Quint Keshon,Sabriya,Kenden Baskett, London Young. Nephews Deuel L. Lee (Bridgchelle) Ishmael Johvon, Nieces Vannessa Davis Texas, Yahshanah Williams Louisville, Shaneatta Lee Texas, LaToria Lee Atlanta, Desiree Goff Louisville . 

A Special Cousin who was also her Bonus Son Joseph R.Banks who also Looked out for and helped Sallie with whatever she needed and her Beloved Aunt & Uncle The Late Willie & Virgina Wallace of Huntsville Alabama also a Host of Family and Friends , Nieces and Nephews Bonus Daughters Lisa Parker of Delaware an Angela Parker of North Carolina. Sallie also leaves Cherished Lifelong Friends Butch & Esther Talley, Miss Pauline Robey, Pastor Bradley & Benolia Bacon, and the Late Sue Currie, also Blanche Barnett, Jackie Barnett, Renee Jackson, and Brenda Daugherty for always being a phone call away and Sallie's Lunch dates with Brenda when she came in Town. Last but certainly not least The Ruff Family Golden Girls where there were 4 Cousin/ Sister The Late Shelia Ditto and now Sallie now to Cherish her memory is her Aunt / Sister Dorthory Mucker ( Ronnie) and Cousin/ Sister Ann Gearing their Love and Bond can never, ever be Broken
