Her commitment to her country reflected the strength and valor that she carried throughout her life. Beyond her military service, she was cherished as an outgoing, loving soul.
Her loving family was the cornerstone of her existence. Surviving her is her beloved husband, Kevin McKiernan, whose partnership through life’s joys and trials stood as a testament to their deep bond. Her son, Domanic Hernandez, carries forward her legacy of kindness and resilience. Sabrena’s love also extended profoundly to her grandchildren: Perry, Gracie, Peyton, and Lilly Hernandez, each of whom were graced by her nurturing presence and inspired by her example. The family grew even larger with the arrival of her great granddaughters, Audrina and Aryiana, who brought her immeasurable joy and a vibrant connection to the generations yet to come.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Delma Russell Atherton and Vernie Mae Atherton, and her brother, Perry Atherton whose memories she held dear and who undoubtedly shaped the remarkable woman she became.
