Ruth Weathers (Hackett), 93, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018. Ruth was a retired phone operator for AT&T.
She was born on March 7, 1925 in Winchester, Kentucky to Charlie and Rose Moore. She is preceded in death by her Daughter, Ruth A. Beard, her parents, Sisters, Lulu M. Steel, and Thelma Jacobs.
Ruth is survived by her Son, Jesse Hackett, and daughter-In-Law, Linda Hackett, son-in-law, Alfred "Butch" Beard, 8 grandchildren,11 great-grandchildren, and her nieces, Diane and Denise Jacobs.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A celebration of her life will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
