Ruth Irene (McNeeley) Sharp, 90, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in Clarksville, Indiana.

Ruth was born on March 1, 1924 in Lexington, Indiana to the late Charles & Anna Belle (Campton) McNeeley. She worked for many years at the Charlestown Ammunition Plant before retiring in 1989. She was a charter member at First Baptist Church of Sellersburg and loved spending time with her family.

Ruth is survived by her daughters, Loretta Coleman & Delores Sharp; granddaughter, Carla Coleman; sister-in-law, Aileen McNeeley; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Horace Sharp; son, Glen Sharp; son-in-law, George "Buzz" Coleman; brothers, John & Donald McNeeley; sisters, Mary Catherine Reece, Marie Reece, Gladys Robison, & Jean Cox.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane New Albany, Indiana 47150). Her Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Satuday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, IN.

Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Sellersburg (7912 Highway 311, Sellersburg, IN 47172) or Hosparus of Southern Indiana (502 Hausfeldt Lane, New Albany, IN 47150).
