Ruth Ann Seger, 93, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, October 25, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Ruth always greeted you with a cheerful “hey” and homemade cookies. You never knew if she’d be baking, reading, or watching her soap operas. Sometimes you'd find her on a ladder or pulling weeds. Her favorite question was always, “What are we eating for dinner?” She loved spending time with family and friends, but most especially with her “babies” — the great-grands.
Ruth was known fondly as Wife, Sister, Mom, Aunt, Grandma, Gram, Gigi, or Friend. Married for almost 60 years, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Maurice; her cherished son, Greg; and her only sister, Shirley (Francis).
She is survived by her 4 children, Janice (Bill), Julie (Pete), Gary (Sherrill), and Joyce; 14 grandchildren, Kevin (Renee), Beth (Christy), Beth (Howie), Sean (Carrie), Katie (Peyton), Greg (Nicole), Shelby, Dane (Hannah), John, Will (Hallie), Corey (Kris), Aaron (Kalli), Reid, and Madison; and 13 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Kailey, Braxton, Emmeline, Elias, Will, Grace, Sloane, Zach, Sam, Wells, Davis, and Ava.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 3–8 p.m. with a Celebration of Life/ Prayer Service at 4:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2025 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, with a reception immediately to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Margaret Mary, Hosparus or Gilda’s Club.
