Ruth Joan Rodgers, 85, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021.

She was born on January 15, 1936 in Virginia to Roy and Elizabeth Linkous. She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years John Rodgers, Jr. and her brother Roy "Buckie" Linkous.

Ruth is survived by her sons, John Rodgers, III (Shari); Michael Rodgers (Stanna); and daughter, Janet Rodgers; sisters Ann Smith, Rena Bibey, granddaughter, Tara Pemberton (Joe); grandson, John Rodgers, IV; and great-grandson, Trevor Pemberton.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 10:00 am until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 pm on at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243).
