Ruth Frances (Leidolf) King

Ruth Frances (Leidolf) King, 84, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019. She was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church and in her spare time enjoyed collecting antiques.

She was born on August 31, 1934, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Earl and Wilhelmina (Striegel) Leidolf. Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gene King; and sisters, Vada Thomas, Deanna Smith, and Earlene Dean.

Ruth is survived by her children, Michael and Jenny King; brother, Alvin Leidolf; brother-in-law, Shelby Smith; grandchildren, Jeremy King, Ashley Avis, and Erica King; great-grandchildren, Brynnen, Cameryn, Clayton, and Owen, Brooks; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs) with her Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at a later date in the church cemetery.

Contributions in Ruth's memory be made to St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.
