Ruth (Manion) Halliday

Ruth M. (Manion) Halliday, 98, of Greenville, Indiana, passed away on March 15, 2017 in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on December 24, 1918, in Louisville, Kentucky to Van and Mary (Haas) Manion. Ruth attended Portland Avenue Presbyterian Church in Louisville, Kentucky and was a great caregiver and loved her family very much. She enjoyed working puzzles and needlepoint.

Along with her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Elliott Halliday Jr., a son, Elliott "Scott" Halliday, her siblings, and a twin sister, Ruby Musselman. She is survived by her loving children, Dianne Halliday, Kathleen Hamilton, Karen Hamilton (David), six grandchildren; Bobby, Joseph, Stevie, Mark, Brendan, and Adam.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 PM on Friday, March 17, 2017 with service to follow at 5PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150) with cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Portland Avenue Presbyterian Church (3126 Portland Ave, Louisville, KY 40212).
