Ruth Gootee, 90, passed away on October 12, 2015. She retired from Delmonico Foods and was a member of Clifton Heights Christian Church.
Ruth was born on December 13, 1924, Lockport, Kentucky to the late Byron and Lorraine Dees. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Charles Dees, and Russell Dees; and nephew, Butch Dees.
Ruth is survived by her children, Daughters, Becky Humphrey (Ed), and Melody McCracken; Sons, Charles Russell Gootee (Judy), and Steven Gootee (Pam); 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville). Her Funeral Ceremony will be held Thursday at 6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Louisville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
