Ruth F. Dunn

Ruth F. Dunn, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on January 4, 2017. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren. Ruth worked in retail for 25 years and then worked in printing for 25 more years.

Ruth was born on April 12, 1936, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Thomas and Louise (Kenney) Gilmore. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Martha McFadden, Betty Hendrickson, and Katherine Mason.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 59 years, William "Bill" Dunn; children, Robert Earl Dunn, Karen Dunn West (Marty), and Daryl Lee Dunn (Heather); grandchildren, Shawn Dunn, Joshua Buckman, Timothy Buckman, Gerald Dunn, Amber Dunn, Tiffany Dunn, Brandon Dunn, Brittney Dunn, and Dylan Warren; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272). Her Funeral Ceremony will be held Monday, January 9, 2017 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West (4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40216).

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
