Russell G. Obremski, 74, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 23, 2019. Russ was co-owner of Russ's Lounge in New Albany for over 20 years. He was a long-time member of Grace Lutheran Church and his greatest joy was spending time on the Wooded Glen Golf Course where he was a member.
He was born on November 23, 1944 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Walter Obremski and Mary Obremski Buckel. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his Son, Dwayne Glenn Obremski; Sister, Cyndi Obremski Emily; Granddaughter, Tiffany Chandler; and Nephew, Nicholas Olson.
Russ is survived by his Son, Bryan (Sandy) Obremski; Daughter, Lori (David) Martin; Daughter, Kelly Obremski; Daughter, Kimberly Obremski; Daughter, Reyna (Jeremy) Radcliff; Son, Travis W. Obremski (Lynn); Life Partner, Mildred "Millie" Harding and her children, Sheridan Harding Mann and Robert Harding; Sister, Kim Obremski Shelton; Sister, Sheila Obremski Bliss (Todd); Sister, Lorna (Marty) Hoeppner; Sister, Billie Olson; Brother, John Buckel; 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany, (3309 Ballard Lane). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville, Indiana.
