Russell M. Corbett, 59, of West Point, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020.
He was born on October 9, 1960 in Louisville, Kentucky. He loved the Lord, was a member of Valley Station Church of God and would lead his wife, Susan, in nightly Bible readings. He enjoyed playing golf, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, lighting off fireworks, and a good plate of stuffed Italian shells. He was known for his bear hugs and reminding everyone how much he loved them and that God loves them.
He is preceded in passing by his father, Bill Westfall.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 19 years, Susan Corbett; his mother, Laura Westfall; a daughter, Laura (Braian) Da Silva; a granddaughter, Ayla Da Silva; a sister, Bridget (Buddy) Fincham; mother-in-law, Doris Mayo; brothers-in-law, Gerald Scott and Mac Scott; a nephew, Roy Fincham; a niece, Miranda Quirin; and his church family and many friends.
A service to celebrate Russell's life will take place at 10:00 am on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Valley Station Church of God, 12491 Old Dixie Highway, with burial to follow in Bogard- Greer Cemetery in Battle Town, Kentucky. The family will accept guests for visitation from 2:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at the Valley Station Church of God.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to help offset final expenses.
