Ruby June (Combs) Phalen, 72, of Palmyra, Indiana, passed away on Friday morning, June 15, 2018, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born on November 23, 1945, in Whitesburg, Kentucky, to the late Leonard and Virgie (Adams) Combs. Ruby was also preceded in death by her brother, Gordon Combs.
Ruby is survived by her husband of 55 years, Rev. Robert Phalen, Sr.; children, J.R. Phalen (Chris) and Jeanine Metzmeier (Todd); siblings, Helen Perry (Albert), Carolos Combs (Geraldine), and Larry Combs; grandchildren, Roxanne Lippert (Josh) and Samantha Horton; and great-grandchild, Tobias Lippert.
Cremation was chosen following Ruby's wishes. A gathering of family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Fellowship Baptist Church (2040 Corydon-Ramsey Road NW, Corydon, Indiana 47112) with her Memorial Service taking place at 2:00 p.m.
