Ruby Jones Miller, passed peacefully on November 16, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on December 22, 1936, in the quaint town of Hodgenville, Kentucky, Ruby's journey through life was marked by the profound connections she forged with family and the community.
A radiant presence at Jim's Mini Mart in Highland Park, Ruby devoted several years to her work, where her warmth and friendliness left an indelible mark on all who entered. She was not merely a worker but a familiar face, always ready with a smile and a kind word, reflecting the essence of her nurturing spirit.
Above all, Ruby was defined by her unwavering dedication to her family. As a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she embraced her roles with boundless love. She is survived by her sons, Bill (Doris) Devers, Bobby (Donna) Jones, and Butch Jones; her daughters, Tammy (Ken) McNutt and Barbie (Stevie) Still; along with a cherished brood of seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren who will carry her legacy forward.
Ruby's life was enriched by her joyful pursuits, including her fondness for watching game shows, an occasional trip to the casinos, and the simple yet delightful pleasure of a good cup of coffee paired with a cigarette. These small joys painted her days with happiness, showcasing her zest for life.
In mourning her passing, we also remember those who preceded her in death, including her beloved husband, Tommy Miller, and her son, Buddy Jones. Their absence is felt deeply, yet their memories live on through the stories and love shared by Ruby's enduring family.
As those who loved her gather to celebrate her life, Visitation services will be held on Tuesday, November 25th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville. It is here that friends and family will have the opportunity to pay their respects and share in the fond remembrance of Ruby's vibrant life.
Ruby Jones Miller will be remembered not just for the years she lived, but for the love she shared, the laughter that echoed around her, and the unwavering spirit that will forever illuminate the hearts she touched.
