Ruby Lasley, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020.
Ruby attended Lighthouse Church. She worked at Beta Shoe factory, in Maryland, and she worked as a nurses aide in Louisville, she was a teacher at Dove Academy, and a family caregiver.
Ruby was born on January 23, 1939 in O'Banion, Kentucky to Elwood and Polly Lawrence. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Son, Lee Lasley, Brothers: Ray Lawrence, Roy Lawrence, Ronnie Lawrence, Donnie Lawrence, Rubel Lawrence, J.T. Lawrence, and Johnny Lawrence, Sisters, Darlene Darnell, and Roselean Jacobs.
Ruby is survived by her Daughter, Lana L. Edlin, Sister, Nadine Clark, Brother, Billy Lawrence, Grandchildren, Moneik Wade, and Jacinda Wood, Great-Grandchild, Hunter Wade.
A gathering for Ruby's family and friends will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A celebration of her life will be at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Bethany Memorial Park.
