Roy Virgil Missi

March 2, 1944 — January 7, 2017

Roy V. Missi, 72, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017. He was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He retired from Ford Motor Company after over 17 years of service. Roy enjoyed life to the fullest and was always having a good time.

Roy was born on March 2, 1944, in Starlight, Indiana, to the late Edward Sr. and Ethel (Whitson) Missi. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Wilfred Missi; sisters, Edith Grantz, Ruth Missi, Evelyn Hodges, and Charlotte Wilson.

He is survived by his sister, Viola Eckert; brother, Edward Missi, Jr. (Gloria); his dear friend, Dorothy Money Blankenbaker; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Service will be on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Borden.
