Roy Neal Donahoe, 70, was born on November 21, 1954, in Selmer, Tennessee, and passed away July 1, 2025.
Roy enjoyed participating in local auctions and turkey shoots, where he formed lasting memories with friends and family. His passion for fishing allowed him to experience moments of tranquility and connection with nature. In his earlier years, Roy found joy in the thrill of auto racing, a passion that exemplified his adventurous spirit. He worked at Heidelberg Cement for 46 years until his retirement. Roy was a devoted and faithful member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Letricia Donahoe, who was his partner in both life's joys and challenges. Roy's legacy continues through his sons, Michael (Kisha) Donahoe and Cory (Candy) Donahoe, as well as his step-children, Matthew Burkhart and DeAnna (Marc) Babbs. The light of his life also radiates through his grandchildren: Kadence and Myla Donahoe and Brennan, Ethan, and Brody Eurton. Roy is further survived by his beloved sisters, Judy (Steve) Franklin and Jimmie Sue Brown, who will forever hold dear the memories of their time together.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Donahoe and Nora Isbell Donahoe; his brother, Ray Donahoe; and sisters, Brenda Donahoe and Julia Harding.
A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Roy Neal Donahoe leaves behind a profound legacy of love and faith, woven into the lives he touched throughout his journey. His spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him, reminding us all to live life with passion and dedication.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Visitation will continue on Thursday at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 10:30 am. His Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Joe Hill Chapel - 2605 W St Joe Rd, Sellersburg, IN 47172) with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
