Roy Ernest Deweese

Roy Ernest Deweese, 70, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. He was a United States Army veteran and member of the American Legion Post 42 in Floyds Knobs, Indiana. He regularly participated in events at the Snellsville Conservation Club and also enjoyed fishing and bingo.

He was born on June 16, 1949, in Clark County, Indiana, to the late James "Fred" and Margie (Roll) Deweese. Roy was also preceded in death by his sister, Anna Lou Bezy.

Roy is survived by his wife, Judy (Baxter) Deweese; children, Lisa Shepard (Dan), Jennifer Bradley (Jay), and Robert Lee Karsner, Jr. (Missy); grandchildren, Heather Willis (Tony), Robert Karsner III, Richard Karsner, Zander Bradley, and Kinleigh Bradley; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Nevera, Falyon, Ilaria, and Gavin; nieces, Donna, Joyce, and Angie; nephew, Bobby; along with numerous cousins.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 9:00 a.m. His funeral service with military honors will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday in the chapel at the funeral home.
