Roy Edwin Casebier, 88, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home on February 18th, 2020. He was born in Paradise, KY, on May 28, 1931, to the late William Lee Casebier and Bernice Myrl (Hatcher) Casebier. Roy was a District Plant Manager for Bell South Telephone and retired from AT&T. After retirement he prepared taxes. Roy was a member of Evangel World Prayer Center. He enjoyed volunteer work for the church in various ministries, U.K. basketball, gardening, landscaping, and traveling in the States and abroad.
He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Myrl Vaught, Robert "Bob" Casebier, Pauline Brumley, Hazel Vaught, Winona Kimmell, Curtiss Casebier, Carroll Casebier, Virginia Casebier, and Walton Casebier.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marcella Casebier, daughter, Karen Casebier (Michael Christopher), and sister, Martha (Tip) Almond. Roy also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday at the Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Custer Cemetery.
