Roy Barton Bolin

Roy Barton Bolin, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020. Roy enjoyed going to flea markets, fishing, writing, traveling, and music. Roy enjoyed a good meal, and loved to people watch. He was a family man, caregiver, who never met a stranger. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was born on June 11, 1936 in Louisville, Kentucky to Barton and Pearl (Fletcher) Bolin. Roy was one of 7 Siblings, Earl Yates, Leslie Yates, Jimmy Yates, Maurice Yates, Betty Bolin, and Ralph Bolin. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Shirley Bolin, and his second Wife Carolyn Bolin, Sons, Michael Bolin, and Ronald Bolin.

Roy is survived by his Daughters, Ramona (Keith) Zanchi, Angela (Billy, Jr.) Newkirk, and Regina Bratcher, 13 Grandchildren, and 22 Great Grandchildren. Roy also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Monday at the Newcomer Funeral Home Chapel. Private Graveside Services will be held at a later date at St. Michaels Cemetery.
