Roy Franklin Alford, Sr.

Roy Franklin Alford, Sr., 82, of Louisville, KY, passed away on February 15, 2017. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing karaoke, gardening and was an avid UK fan. Roy loved making wine and spending time with his family, which was very important to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ethel Alford brothers, James Alford., Robert Alford and Earl Alford, Jr.

Roy is survived by his wife, Carolyn Alford, children, Marty Lainhart, Terri Hayes, Troy Alford, Mary Alford Powell, Roy Alford Jr., Kimberly Alford Neff, Dana Alford Mack, Eric Dale Alford, Missie McCandless, Jerry Foley, Lonnie Foley, and Michael Foley; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger Alford, Larry Alford, Stoy Alford, Melvin Alford and Ray Alford; sisters, Gladys Patterson, Juanita Lawrence and Flossie Jones.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY) from 12pm-5pm. A celebration of Roy's life will be Monday, February 20, 2017 beginning at 1pm at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Hwy, Valley Station, KY 40272.
