Rosemary Heuke O'Bryan, a beloved matriarch, passed peacefully on March 9, 2026, in New Albany, Indiana, surrounded by her devoted family. Born on October 10, 1928, in Evansville, Indiana, Rosemary was a proud graduate of Holy Rosary Academy, where she developed an early passion for learning and the arts.

However, her true calling emerged when she devoted herself fully to her family as a loving homemaker, enveloping her loved ones with warmth and care. After her family had grown, Rosemary embarked on a promising career in accounting as a proficient bookkeeper. This transition marked a new chapter in her life where she excelled.

Rosemary was famous for her culinary delights, often thrilling family gatherings with her delicious jellies and mouth-watering coffee cakes. Her hands, which were skilled in baking, were equally adept at painting and quilting, contributing to many unique pieces of art that adorned her home. Through needlework, she created lovingly crafted treasures that held stories of her meticulous dedication, further showcasing her creative spirit.

As a devoted wife for 65 remarkable years to her late husband, William L. O'Bryan, Rosemary exemplified unwavering love and compassion. Together, they instilled values of faith and family, often praying the rosary together daily. Her strength and honesty shone through in every aspect of her life, earning her the admiration of family and friends alike.

Rosemary's pride and joy lay in her extensive family. She is survived by her loving daughters, Karen (Jerry) Bradford and Patricia Anne Phillips; her sons, William "Dennis" (Patricia) O'Bryan, Glenn Alan (Lynn) O'Bryan, Lawrence Robert (Nancy) O'Bryan, Stephen Joseph (Cathy) O'Bryan, and Timothy Charles (Karen) O'Bryan. She also leaves behind her cherished sisters, Dorothy Craven and Joan McGee and brother, Robert (JoDonna) Heuke. Her legacy continues through her 23 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren, all of whom carry pieces of her spirit and love within them.

Rosemary is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William L. O'Bryan, her parents, Charles and Mary Florence Heuke, as well as her brothers, Thomas, Charles, David, and Brother Blaise Heuke. She is also preceded by her grandchild, Mitchell Lee O'Bryan, and son-in-law, Rex Phillips.
