Rose B. Lancaster

Rose Lancaster, 80, of Georgetown, Indiana, and formally of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026.

She was born on March 4, 1946 in Skowhegan, Maine , to the late Irene Barrieault. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, William 'Bill' Lancaster.

Rose was a very talented crafter, spending her time cross stitching, knitting, sewing, gardening, and creating beautiful gourd art, by painting and wood burning on them. She was instrumental in forming the Kentucky Gourd Society, and a previous member of the Ohio Gourd Society.

Rose is survived by her loving children, Catherine 'Cathy' (Anthony) Staples, and William 'Will' (Lawana) Lancaster, II; grandchildren, Margaret 'Maggie' Staples, Ryan Staples, Brittany (Devon) Hodge, and William James Bradley Lancaster; and her great granddaughter, Talia Tate Hodge.

Rose will be cremated per her wishes, with no formal service to be held.
