Rose Carrier

Rose Carrier, 77, of Louisville, Kentucky, gained her angel wings, surrounded by her children on Friday, December 10, 2021. Rose was an avid reader, and if she could get it in her hand she would read it. She was a loving and generous person who was always helping those around her. Rose was a published poet and her works were recorded in the National Library of Poetry in 1996, and the International Library of Poetry in 2000. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was born on September 15, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky to Eugene and Maudie (Prott) Davis. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Beloved Husband, Donnie Helstern Sr., Sisters, Sandra Schnellenberger, and Anna Bratcher.

Rose is survived by her Daughters, DeeDee Vance, Paula (James Sr.) Vaughn, Melody (Marvin "Moe") Croomes, Son, Maurice Reid, Jr., Step-Son, Donnie (Chrissy) Helstern, Jr., Nephew, Joseph Schnellenberger, Brother, Bill Alexander, Sister, Jeannie Epperson. Rose also leaves behind to cherish her memory 13 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
