Roscoe Lovell Logsdon

Roscoe Lovell Logsdon, 83, of Louisville, passed away on September 3, 2016. Roscoe was born in Hardinsburg, KY on December 19, 1932 to the late Roscoe and Mary Logsdon. He enjoyed woodworking and collecting clocks. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Roscoe was preceded in death by a son, Bernard Logsdon; and four brothers, Jay, Virgil, Millard, and Roy Logsdon.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Logsdon; two children, Angie Logsdon, and Johnnie Logsdon (Paula); one granddaughter, Gina Logsdon; one great-grandson, Tanner Logsdon; one brother, Elmer Logsdon (Norma); and a host of extended family members. Roscoe and Barbara were also foster parents to 99 children.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272) and continue on Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 pm Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.
