Ronnie (Ron) Lee Kase born May 10, 1940 died after a long illness on Friday, February 13, 2026. He was the youngest of six children to Edward Garrison and Edith Anne (Klemm) Kase from Mishawaka, IN where he was born and raised. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ed, Frank, Betty (Schott), Jack, and Dale Kase. Ron was a graduate from Mishawaka High School class of 1958.
Ron received both a BS and MA from Ball State University where he was member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He also served as a graduate assistant in student housing while working on his masters.
He took that experience and parlayed it a professional career which included two years in administration at Ball State, as well as time spent at Northern Michigan University, and Hanover College.
Ron’s 30 year career as a successful Printing specialist included work at Coleman Printing in Madison Indiana, Hamilton Printing and Hammond Printing in Louisville, Kentucky. He managed projects from leading advertising companies in the area and was known for his dedication and professionalism. Many of his printing projects won local and national awards.
Ron loved the Louisville area as well as all things involved with Mother Nature. He loved his golden retrievers and was a loyal volunteer for the Louisville Dog Association, and served on its board for many years. He also enjoyed creating art, hiking, biking and spending quality time with family and friends.
He is survived by his nephew’s Mike (Sharon) Kase, Pat (Theresa) Kase and nieces, Katherine (Kevin) Kase Rillo and Peggy Kase Wilmont. Other family members include numerous great nieces and nephews and their spouses and children.
His family and friends would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Harmony Place and Hosparus Health Care Services for their genuine and compassionate care for Ron and his loyal companion, golden retriever Riley who is greatly loved by Ron’s fellow residents.
A gathering will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Louisville on Friday, February 20, 2026. Family will receive guests from 4:00-6:00 with a brief memorial following.
