Ronna Rae Vermillion, 74, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. She was born on March 7, 1952, in Salem, Indiana, to the late Carl Jarvis Jackson and Joann Taylor Jackson.

Ronna found great joy in life’s simple pleasures and, above all, in the people she loved. She enjoyed watching old westerns, with High Chaparral and Renegade holding a special place among her favorites. She also loved trips to the nail salon, getting her hair done, vacations to the beach, and spending time at home surrounded by those she loved.

Family was at the center of Ronna’s life. She cherished her two grandchildren, loved all of her nieces and nephews dearly, and had a special place in her heart for raising and caring for children. She loved each of her siblings and valued the bond they shared throughout their lives. Ronna thought the world of her son-in-law Greg and treasured the place he held within her family.

Ronna worked at A&W as a shift leader, where she was known for her hardworking nature. She also had a special love for Odie, her granddog, who brought her great happiness and companionship.

Ronna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, George Ed Vermillion; her parents, Carl Jarvis Jackson and Joann Taylor Jackson; and her siblings, Kathy Jackson, Kevin (Tammy) Jackson, Terry Kim Jackson, Connie Jackson Farrington, and Carla Jackson Hentrup.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Greg) Seidenfaden; her grandchildren, Courtney (Kaitlin) Cook and Luke Seidenfaden; her sisters, Lavonnia Kay (Whit) Whitaker and Malissa (Greg) James; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and loved ones.

Ronna will be remembered for the love she gave so freely to her family, the happiness she found in the simple things, and the many memories she created with those closest to her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love she shared and the memories she leaves behind will remain in the hearts of her family forever.
