Ronald S. "Chipper" Tower, 57, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. Ronnie was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was a former cook at Jerry's Restaurant in Jeffersonville before he went on to be a deckhand for McBride Towing for over 25 years. Ronnie loved music and was an avid fisherman and a faithful U of L fan. He enjoyed ending his nights with a good book and a doughnut.
He was born on December 12, 1959, in Nassau, New Hampshire, to the late John H. and Vernabelle (Platt) Tower.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Dawn (Bego) Tower; stepdaughter, Evie Ford; siblings, John Tower (Judy), Mark Tower (Marrisa), Terry Tower (Lucretia), Barry Tower (Tina), and Jaylene Tower; 8 nieces and nephews; and 14 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be conducted by Pastor Paul Walerczak at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
