Ronald N. Taylor

Ronald N. Taylor, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on August 28, 2026, in Louisville at the age of 62. He was born on May 16, 1964, in Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Ronald attended Valley High School and went on to build a long career working at multiple maritime companies as a chief engineer for many years. He was known as a very giving man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Outside of work, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, a pastime that brought him happiness and reflected his independent spirit.

He will be remembered with love by his wife of 30 years, Linda M. Poteet Taylor. He is also survived by his step-sons, James Burnett Poteet (Conny) and Steven Ray Poteet; his step-daughter, Donnie Jo Polk (Jeff); his sister, Shirley Kelly; his granddaughters, Montana Miller (Steven), MaKenna Atwell, Rylie Morgan Poteet, and Logan Averie Poteet; his great-grandchildren, Remi Mae Miller and Bryson Ridge Miller; and other extended family. May his memory remain a source of comfort to all who knew and loved him.

Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Roscoe Taylor; his mother, Josephine Taylor; and his brothers, Roscoe "Butch" H. Taylor Jr., Robert “Bobby” Taylor, Richard “Ricky” Taylor, and Dewey Taylor.

Visitation will be held on September 6, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40272. A funeral service will follow there at 4:00 p.m.
