Ronald J. "Ron" Striegel, Sr.

Ronald J. Striegel Sr., 77, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family & friends, camping, fishing, and playing cards.

He was born on August 11, 1946 in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Raymond Striegel and Norma Batliner Striegel. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Kevin Striegel; and brother, Raymond "Pete" Striegel.

Ron is survived by his wife of 25 years, Libby Striegel; children, Joe Striegel, Bryan (Kathy) Striegel, Chad Striegel, and Stacy (Dan) Kimmel; step-children, Mandy (Frank) Dorrell and Ghered (Elizabeth) Douglas; grandchildren, Erica Striegel, Morgan Striegel, Josie Striegel, Lauren Striegel, Lindsey (Noah) Smith, Kaylnn Striegel, Tristin Striegel, Daniel Kimmel, Taiden England, and Bryston Woodlock; great-grandchildren, Cohen and Stella; siblings, Dick (Delores) Striegel, Roger (Barbara) Striegel, Reed (Susan) Striegel, and Roz (Jeff) Wolverton; sister-in-law, Peggy Striegel; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

A Memorial Gathering will be from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 pm on Saturday, at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen following Ron's wishes.
