Ronald "Ron" D. Keller

Ronald "Ron" D. Keller, 85, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. Ron was an active member of Georgetown Southern Baptist Church where he enjoyed Monday morning men's bible study. He gave his life in service to his Lord. He left a legacy of love for his Savior, Jesus Christ, which was his greatest gift to his children and his children's children. He was an ordained minister and did nursing home ministry for many years. Ron was an avid IU Basketball and Cincinnati Reds fan, enjoyed woodworking, aviation, roller coasters, fishing, and most importantly spending time with family and friends. Ron was a skilled tradesman. He often donated his time skills to those in need. He loved his family, friends, and his country.

He was born on April 29, 1939 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Claude and Hazel (Bowen) Keller. Ron graduated from New Albany High School in 1957. He entered into the United States Army National Guard of Indiana and was active until he was honorably discharged on November 24, 1960. Ron later attended Indiana University were he received a Bachelor of Arts. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Huff, Sharon Heavrin, and Mary Allis McClellan.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Keller; children, DeWayne (Diane) Keller, Mark (Mary) Keller, Janice (Robert) Fisher, James Keller, Andrew (Chassidy) Terrell, and Shonna (Tom) Deen; grandchildren, Alex (Adrienne), Katie, Sara (Sergio), Kristen (Sam), Kaylin (Shane), Nicholas (Brianna), Taylor (Hailey), Corbin, and Gracie; great grandchildren, Malachai, Levi, Everlee, Harrison, Lydia, Ezra, and Charlotte; sister, Kimberly Corn; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, July 8, 2024 at Georgetown Southern Baptist Church (8585 IN-64, Georgetown, IN 47122) and Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, at Georgetown Southern Baptist Church.
