Ronald L. Potts

Ronald L. Potts, 83, of Louisville, KY, passed away on July 7, 2026, at home, surrounded by family. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Diane "Dee" Potts, and their two daughters, Tracie Nash and Janet Gifford.

Tracie and her husband, David Nash, are joined in mourning by her son, Jeffrey Davis, and his wife, Stephanie Davis, and their children, Chandler, Sutton, and Sawyer; and David's daughter, Caitlin Nash, and her son, Jaxon Fogle.

Janet and her husband, William Gifford, are joined in mourning by their children, Halen Gifford and McCarty Gifford.

One of eleven children, Ron is survived by siblings, Madeline, Bobby, Nancy, David, Kathy and Michael. 

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Raymond, Jimmy, Doris and Jack.

A graduate from Fern Creek High School. In his spare time, Ronald was an avid sports fan who never missed a UK game. Ron enjoyed the simple things in life: golfing with friends, spending mornings on his boat, reading his Sunday paper, listening to music, and time spent in nature. He cherished the time he got to spend with his great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
