Ronald L. Dierking

Ronald L. Dierking, 87, of Clarksville, Indiana, died on July 14, 2021. He graduated from New Albany High School in 1952 and went on to serve as a pilot in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1956. Ron was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He was born on June 29, 1934, in New Albany, Indiana, to John L. and Malea R. (Harter) Dierking. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Dierking; and sister, Linda Dierking Bogdon.

Ron is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joyce M. (Condra) Dierking; children, Leigh Hopper (Ed), Marcia Fairholm (Scott), David Dierking (Lori), Jennifer Tincher (Mark), and Janet Fitzpatrick (Michael); 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; niece, Ceilla Jones; and nephews, Steven, Gary, and Scott Bogdon.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his funeral service taking place at 12:00 p.m. Burial with military honors will follow at Edwardsville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ron's memory may be made to the New Albany High School - Scholarship Fund (1020 Vincennes Street, New Albany, IN 47150).
