Ron Bentley

Ronald "Ron" Lin Bentley, aged 69, of Brooks, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025. He will be deeply remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, and devoted Pawpaw to his beloved grandchildren. Ron had a passion for fishing and cherished the moments spent outdoors by the lake, where he found joy and tranquility. His unwavering faith in the Lord was a cornerstone of his life.

Known for his remarkable work ethic, Ron dedicated himself to providing for his family. He was a true jack of all trades, capable of fixing anything that came his way. In the past year, he was fortunate to find love again with Joanne, creating lasting memories together. Ron also held dear friendships with neighbors Pablo and Doris, and he had an immense love for his great-granddaughter, Nova, whose light brought him everlasting joy.

Born on April 12, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, Ron was the son of Bob and Lorelei (Kiser) Bentley. He is preceded in death by his father, Bob Bentley, and his beloved wife, Carol Sue "Susie" Bentley.

Ronald is survived by his loving family, including his mother, Dottie Bentley; his daughter, Kimberly Bentley; sons, Robert Bentley and Richard Bentley; sisters, Jeanie Gammon and Jessica (David) Price; and brother, Robert (Kelli) Bentley. He is also survived by grandchildren Hannah (Billy) Smith and Nathaniel Bratcher; great-granddaughter Novaleigh Smith; significant other, Joanne Mello; as well as an extended family and many friends who will cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Highway. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the same location, with burial to take place afterward at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.

Ron will be remembered fondly and missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
